Here at Gasket Supply we know what vital role gaskets play in sealing surfaces and that using the highest quality provider and products is of the utmost importance. To avoid expensive and dangerous leaks, it’s important that you ensure you seal your objects together perfectly and precisely with the appropriate custom-made gasket that fits your exact needs.

Inertex SQ-S Expanded PTFE gaskets offer a soft & hard set sealing solution for most flanged connections. When properly installed, Inertex Expanded SQ-S 100% PTFE provides you with a premium quality sealing solution at a reasonable cost.

Let’s take a look at some of the benefits that the Inertex SQ-S Expanded PTFE line of gaskets is offering you:

  • SQ-S is manufactured using 100% pure PTFE materials, which is extremely versatile.
  • This is an all-purpose material; it can be used for any material, chemical, temperature, pressure, etc.
  • SQ-S is ISO 9002 Certified.
  • SQ-S provides excellent sealing performance and is chemically inert. Inertex SQ-S is one of the tightest sealing gasket materials in the world.
  • SQ-S is a one piece integral construction, meaning that it uses an expanding PTFE process that guarantees no flaking of particulates that can damage equipment or contaminate materials.
  • Inertex SQ-S is very soft and extremely compressible with relatively light torque. It can withstand load of over 40,000 psi without compromising sealing capabilities.
  • Inertex SQ-S has an unlimited shelf life and will not become brittle, age, or deteriorate in the application.

Inertex SQ-S isotropic pre-cut gaskets are immediately available

  • ANSI/ASME standard 150# class ring gaskets in both 18”, 116”, and 14” thickness
  • Other full faced and 300# class gaskets are available with very short lead times

SELECTING THE PERFECT GASKET

It is very important to use gaskets specifically for your project and your applications. Often times this means that you may need to get custom gaskets created. There are several ways to create custom gaskets and seals. This list includes, but is not limited to injection molding, extrusion, splicing & vulcanizing, lathe cuts, and gasket die cutting.

We recommend CNC routing and waterjet cutting for our clients’ custom gasket needs.

WHAT IS CNC?

CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. This means that machine tools, in this case our waterjets, are controlled by a programmed computer through numerical input. These machines have unique software and a control console that make them important and valuable to the custom gasket creation process.

WHY WATERJET CUTTING?

Waterjet cutting is the perfect choice for custom gasket creation. Abrasive waterjet cutting is extremely useful for incredibly precise, repetitive cuts. Our high speed 2-axis equipment is able to generate up to 60,000 psi that can cut through material up to 5″ thick at speeds up to 600″/minute. With the ability to create complex shapes and intricate patterns, we can fabricate parts measuring up to 144″ x 77″ at tolerances to ± 003″, which is verified by NIST certified measuring equipment.

Our sister company, Cutting Experts, has precision waterjet cutting services that provide close tolerance, distortion-free parts with superior edge quality, no burrs, and little need for secondary finishing. Cutting Experts grew from a simple conviction: clients with custom fabrication and precision cutting needs should get expert service from trained machinists for any project, in any material, with the best technology available. Offering the Inertex SQ-S gasket sheet is our latest addition to such a variety of quality inventory.

Our skillful craftsmen have 25+ years of industry experience and will guide you through the process from initial planning to final production. We can work on nearly any project with virtually any material. For more information, or to request a free quote, contact us at (866) 502-1920.
