CLOSED CELL EVA FOAM RUBBER

Closed cell Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) foam is used in a variety of industrial and commercial gasket and sealing applications. A lightweight and odorless material, EVA foam exhibits good mechanical strength, excellent chemical resistance, high buoyancy, low water absorption, and good acoustic properties.

Gasket Supply is a custom gasket manufacturer with over 40 years of experience at producing parts and components in closed cell silicone.

EXAMPLE GASKET APPLICATIONS OF EVA

WEATHERPROOFING

Closed cell EVA foam rubber demonstrates excellent resistance in a wide range of climates and temperates. EVA also shows resistance with aging in outdoor applications exposed to extreme conditions.

AUTOMOTIVE GASKETS

EVA performs well in automotive applications in the interior of vehicles. EVA’s resistance to exposure to oil and chemicals make this material suitable in other automotive applications as well.

SHOCK ABSORBING APPLICATIONS

EVA is often used as a shock absorber in sports shoes and as padding in sports equipment ranging from hockey to boxing. It can also be found in orthotics, wakeboard boots, ski boots or other situations where someone is exposed to high impact.

IS EVA THE BEST CHOICE FOR YOUR APPLICATION?

Will the components of your application be submerged in or come in contact with water? If so, EVA is an ideal sealing material due to it’s low water absorption.

Do you require a gasket that has a smooth surface, fine cell structure and is flexible, elastic and resilient? Will your application require component materials that meet strict specifications such as exposure to flammable materials ?If so, EVA may be right for you.

All of our EVA  is available in sheets and rolls of varying densities, sizes and thicknesses. For custom gaskets, our EVA foam can be supplied with an adhesive backing and can be selected in black, grey and natural (off white) colors. Our team can also slit rolls to any configuration needed or use CNC  or waterjet cutting methods to create gaskets to your exact specifications.
