Nitrile rubber is best known for its outstanding chemical resistance to oils, solvents, and gasoline. It also has good resilience in extreme temperatures, good abrasion resistance, and permeability to gases. Nitrile is often used in pumps, hoses, seals, gaskets, and tubes that work with petroleum products due to its high resistances.

All Nitrile grades at Gasket Supply are available as thin as .016″ thick up to .250″ thick and come in a measure of hardness (durometer) as soft as 40 durometer and as hard as 90 durometer. We offer Nitrile grades in continuous rolls that are 36″, 48″, or 54″ wide or we can custom CNC cut or waterjet cut each grade to your exact requirements. Nitrile, often referred to as Buna-N or NBR, serves as an ideal rubber gasket material for applications involving oils and solvents.

With moderate oil resistance, our commercial grade of Nitrile is a blend of 70% Nitrile and 30% SBR. This cost-efficient blend accommodates less demanding applications, which require resistance to oils, solvents, and fuels.

Mid-Grade Nitrile – ls an excellent grade of Nitrile rubber which falls between our Commercial grade and Premium grade Nitriles as far as oil resistance and price. This material works well as a gasket in sealing oil and solvents in applications that can range from -30°F to + 200°F.

This is our premium grade Nitrile and consists of 100% Nitrile rubber. This grade of Nitrile is the optimum choice when your application requires a gasket material that exhibits excellent resistance to oils, solvents, and fuels.

Made from FDA approved ingredients per CFR 177.2600 (off-white color), FDA Nitrile is a superior, long-life rubber that has good resistance to abrasion.

Alternative Fuel Grade Nitrile for Biodiesel & E85- our 60 and 70 durometer alternative fuel Nitrile compounds are designed for applications involving Biodiesel B20 and B100 and Alcohol fuel E85. Biodiesel B100 contains no petroleum, while B20 is 20% biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline.

Transformer Oil Grade Nitrile – designed specifically for use with transformer oil, our Transformer Oil Nitrile compounds meet industry specifications such as GE A12C11E7 and ASTM D 2000 Specification 5BG 620 A14 B14 EO34 and 5BG 720 A14 B14 EO34.

Using computer numeric controlled (CNC) technology, Gasket Supply is able to manufacture custom Nitrile rubber gaskets to any configuration needed. Upon request, Neoprene rubber gaskets can be custom manufactured with an acrylic adhesive backing.
