SILICONE RUBBER

Silicone rubber is best known handling extreme environments and temperatures. It can normally handle temperatures at -150°F to 480°F. Silicone is water repellent and comes equipped with good UV and ozone resistance, fungus resistance, low compression set, tensile strength, elongation, and insulation from electricity, making it one of the most popular and versatile rubbers for many industries.

All silicone grades at Gasket Supply are available as thin as .008″ thick to 1″ thick and are offered in continuous rolls or cut to meet your precise requirements. All silicone grades come in a measure of hardness (durometer) as soft as 25 durometer, and as hard as 80 durometer. Standard colors include orange/red, black, gray, and white; special colors are available upon request.

FDA GRADE (FDA)

FDA Grade (FDA) is a low volatile, peroxide free, and avoids discoloration over time making it ideal in applications where food is present. This material is manufactured with all FDA approved ingredients per CFR.117.2600.

TRANSLUCENT GRADE SILICONE

Translucent Grade silicone is similar to FDA grade silicone in that it is low volatile, peroxide free, and avoids discoloration over time. It is also manufactured using all FDA approved ingredients per CFR.117.2600.

LOW TEMPERATURE GRADE (LT) SILICONE

Low Temperature Grade (LT) silicone is designed for gasketing applications that will be exposed to temperatures as low as -103˚F. This material meets ZZ-R-765 Class 1A.

EXTREME LOW TEMPERATURE GRADE (ELT) SILICONE

Extreme Low Temperature Grade (ELT) silicone is designed for gasketing applications that will be exposed to temperatures as low as -130˚F. This material is non-toxic, chemically inert and meets ZZ-R-765 Class 3A.

HIGH TEMPERATURE GRADE (HT) SILICONE

High Temperature Grade (HT) silicone is designed for gasketing applications requiring extreme high temperature resistance over an extended period of time. This material has a service temperature range of -80˚F to +600˚F and is formulated with FDA approved ingredients.

REVERSION RESISTANT GRADE (RR) SILICONE

Reversion Resistant Grade (RR) silicone is an excellent gasketing material for applications where it will be exposed to high temperatures over an extended period of time.

CLOSED CELL SILICONE SPONGE

Closed cell Silicone sponge is an excellent gasket material for applications that require a soft compressible material that can be used in extreme temperatures from -103° F to + 450° F. This material is both UV and Ozone resistant and meets ASTM D1056, MIL-R-6130 and MIL-STD 670.

LOW COMPRESSION SET CLOSED CELL SILICONE SPONGE

Low compression set closed cell Silicone sponge is supplied in a medium density (33 PCF) and is designed for applications where the need for a low compression set gasket material is critical. This material has excellent tensile strength and elongation and has a service temperature of -103° F to + 450° F.

FLAME RETARDANT CLOSED CELL SILICONE SPONGE

Flame Retardant closed cell Silicone sponge is available in a medium density and is specially formulated to meet the requirements of MIL-R-6130 Type 2, Grade A, Condition Medium. It is also capable of meeting UL 94 HB and DMS 1980 specifications.

FIBERGLASS REINFORCED CLOSED CELL SILICONE SPONGE

Fiberglass Reinforced closed cell Silicone sponge is supplied in a medium density. The Fiberglass reinforcement is the reason for the excellent tensile strength and dimensional stability of this material and allows for tighter tolerances on CNC cut and waterjet cut parts.

FIBERGLASS REINFORCED FLAME RETARDANT CLOSED CELL SILICONE SPONGE

Fiberglass Reinforced Flame Retardant closed cell Silicone sponge is an excellent gasket material that is UV and Ozone resistant. This material has a service temperature range of -103° F to + 450° F and the fiberglass reinforcement provides dimensional stability to the Silicone sponge, which allows for tighter tolerances on CNC cut and waterjet cut parts.

CLOSED CELL SILICONE FOAM

Closed cell Silicone Foam is a lightweight Silicone foam with excellent resistance to UV and Ozone. This material is an exceptional gasket material and can be used to seal electronics and lighting enclosures and is often used to reduce shock and isolate vibration.
